This Giving Tuesday, support the National Home Funeral Alliance in building a more compassionate, informed, and empowered culture around death. Your donation helps us provide free education and resources to families, caregivers, and communities who want to care for their loved ones at home after death
🌿 Why It Matters
Most people don’t know they can care for their loved ones at home after death. This knowledge has been lost over generations, replaced by fear, confusion, and silence. The result? Families often face the most profound moment of loss without the tools or support they deserve.
We’re here to change that. Through education, outreach, and grassroots organizing, NHFA is helping individuals and communities reclaim their right to meaningful, personal, and community-based end-of-life care.
What We’re Doing This Year
This Giving Tuesday, NHFA Executive Director Alexis Hughes will host a 24-hour livestream event on Twitch. The stream will include:
Live Q&A sessions about home funerals and green burial
Educational discussions on grief, deathcare, and family rights
Games, storytelling, and community engagement
Space for reflection and support
A special Labubu art doll giveaway, featuring our shrouded Labubu photographed across Washington’s natural landscapes
Our 2025 campaign theme is #GiveTheGiftOfChoice. We believe end-of-life care should be guided by love, not logistics. By donating, you’re helping us:
Offer free home funeral guides and educational resources
Host community-based events and training workshops
Support families and deathcare professionals with tools and peer connection
Advocate for policy and access to natural, family-led deathcare
🎯 Our Goal: $25,000
We're aiming to raise $25,000 to expand our programs, offer more direct support, and reach communities that need this information the most. But this campaign is about more than money. We’re also measuring:
Social media engagement and new community connections
Newsletter signups and local group inquiries
Youth and first-time learners reached
Every share, every dollar, and every conversation helps us grow this movement.
Is this only for professionals? Not at all. NHFA exists to serve everyday families, caregivers, educators, doulas, and anyone who wants to bring care back home.
What will my donation support? Your gift funds training materials, national outreach, education for underserved communities, volunteer coordination, and direct support for families facing death. Can I volunteer instead of donating? Absolutely. Visit our volunteer intake survey to learn more and get involved.
🕊️ Together, We Can Reclaim What Was Lost
No one should face death unprepared or alone. Help us build a world where families have real options, where grief is honored, and where care is community-led. Give the gift of choice. Give the gift of knowledge. Support NHFA this Giving Tuesday.
